Beautiful fall colors, cooler temperatures, warm sweaters, snuggly blankets, hearty soups and breads on the table, fall squash - and pumpkin! Next stir-in 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 2 teaspoons of baking soda, dash of salt, and 2 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Pie Spice. Slowly add the flour to the mixture. Finally add the nuts if desired. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about one hour - or until a toothpick can be inserted into the cake and it comes out clean. We recommend using a bundt pan for our classic Peter Pumpkin Cake recipe. A brown sugar or powdered sugar glaze on top of the cake also tastes divine for a few more calories.
