Gently mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, lemon rind, nuts & sweetener. Add butter & mix with fork till crumb-like. Take one cup & mix vinegar into milk to make buttermilk. Add to dry mix. Knead on floured surface & pat flat till scone dough reaches about an inch in thickness. Cut into triangular shapes with knife dipped in water. Place on ungreased cookie sheet & brush with egg that hath been beaten slightly with a fork. Bake about 12 minutes at 425 degrees, or till scones reach desired doneness. Serve with jam, preserves, or a smattering of raw honey.
