Half-Faced Rogue Sandwich - A Low Calorie, Low Fat Sandwich Recipe

One way that Thou can lose weight ‘tis by cutting Thy food in half, but as thou learned above, The Medieval Diet prefers the full deal.  If one slice of bread ‘tis enough to crash the scales against thy favor, something more serious must surely be wrong.

This ‘tis the road traveled by our Half-Faced Rogue Sandwich – quite unwilling to sacrifice flavor for calorie content.  Therefore, use entire bagel!  The Rogue ‘tis delicious with a bowl of tomato soup for about another 90 calories.

Ye Old Ingredients for Low Calorie, Low Fat Half-Rogue Sandwich

1 Medium Bagel, Fresh or Toasted
2 Strips of Bacon
½ Slice of REAL Cheese
1 Teaspoon Tangy Salad Dressing OR Honey Mustard Dressing (use lowfat!)
½ Lettuce Leaf
2 Thin Slices of Tomato
Salt & Pepper to Taste

(Doeth not use a bagel larger than the wheel on thy wagon.)  Cut 1 fresh or toasted bagel in half.  Spread dressing on both sides.  Top with lettuce, then tomato. Salt & pepper the tomato.  Add cheese & top with bacon that hath been microwaved.  If thy prefer to use only one side of the bagel, consider sharing the other half with a village friend or crow.

Thy may’st save calories by omitting the cheese, but the added fat wilt keep thee going throughout the day by supplying a burst of energy!  Thy may’st also use entire slice of cheese for about an additional 35 calories. Half-Faced Rogue Sandwich, tomato soup & a fresh peach or pear make winter feel like a spring day!
